Who we are

Our website address is:

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Mailing List

If you sign up for our mailing list, we have whatever information you’ve given to us in order to receive email from us. That likely means we have your email address, possibly your name if you’ve already given it to someone else who uses MailChimp to manage their mailing list.

Goodness knows what MailChimp does with your information, but we just use it to send you email.

Embedded content from other websites

We do this sometimes, so this may matter to you:

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

There may be a web server statistics package installed on this website, but I haven’t checked it, so I don’t know. I’m not interested in tracking you, but other people are.

Who we share your data with

What data you choose to share with us, we won’t share with anyone else.

How long we retain your data

We have access to your email address if you’ve chosen to give it to us until you choose to unsubscribe from the email list. When you receive an email from us, it will contain a link allowing you to unsubscribe.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Any information you give to us to sign up for our email list probably gets datamined by MailChimp, so that sucks. Whatever they expose to us, we promise never to share with anyone else.
